About: Discovered by Bodegas Riojanas this winery is based in Toro and is situated in the province of Zamora, west of the Rueda and Ribera del Duero wine appellations, and in the Spanish Duero river valley near the Portuguese border. Toro appellation covers approximately 5,600ha of vineyards at an altitude of 600-750m above sea level.

About: Their winemaking philosophy is simple "Fine wine can only be made with fine grapes". This philosophy was introduced by Don Amado Paredes and is still embraced today by his sons, Javier and Alvaro Paredes. In their youth, neither brother wanted to go into the family business. Javier is a lawyer to trade and Alvaro is an architect. However, both found their true calling and have been involved in the business for over 20 years.

About: An exclusive label from a co-operative winery based in Puglia, Southern Italy. Also from Botter, The company was founded by Carlo Botter in 1928 as a small business selling local Veneto wines in barrels and demijohns. It took its first major step forward with the arrival of the second generation of the family. After the Second World War, brothers Arnaldo and Enzo began selling wine in bottles.

About: Ross and Barbara Lawson founded Lawson's Dry Hills in 1992, they had been growing grapes on their Alabama Road vineyard since 1980, and decided to start producing their own range of wines. Their first vintage included the Gewürztraminer grown on the winery vineyard on Alabama Road, was just fifteen tonnes of grapes from the old red tin shed on the property, which is still standing and forms part of the winery cellar door.

About: This valley is particularly characterised for having clearly defined seasons with cool, rainy winters and warm summers with high daytime temperatures moderated by cool nights. The grapes are able to ripen fully thanks to the excellent exposure to the sun, dry summers and a lack of rain at the time of harvest. All these factors ensure optimum fruit expressions in the Las Condes range.

About: Finca La Nina, under the umbrella of Don Cristobal, based in Mendoza, Argentina. Don Cristóbal 1492 was established in 1998 and started its own wine production with the 2001 harvest. The estate totals about 200 hectares of which 125ha are planted with vines over 4 sites: Finca La Niña; Finca La Pinta; Finca El Remanso; and Finca La Santa Maria.

About: The Aldenueva Cooperative is from the village of the same name in the Rioja Baja region. Out of the 2500 inhabitants of the village, 900 are farmers who are members of the cooperative and sell their grapes to them. The vineyards are on differing altitudes and soil types, plus some of the vines are between 50 and 100 years old which all add to the complexity of the wines.

About: The grapes which are grown to produce Lagrange are set in a vineyard of ​​22 hectares within the area of Cubzac-les-Ponts. The clayey limestone of this area is of paramount importance in giving this wine it's unique style. The vines are 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. The estate produces annually about 125,000 bottles.

About: The Latour family have long been established in Burgundy's wine trade. Today they are one of the region's most famous names creating wines from their own 50 hectare Domaine in the Côte d'Or and from grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business.

About: Pedro Pavone Voglino in 1917 emigrated from the famous winemaking region of Piemonte, Italy, to the Maipo Valley in Chile. Following his family’s traditions, he planted carefully chosen European vine varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Those grapes were sold to well-established Chilean wineries for over 20 years, until he decided, along with his son, Felix Pavone Arbea, to create the now prestigious Viña Santa Ema.

A unique feature of Maillart is the printing of a "disgorgement" date on the back label.

About: It is said in Saint-Jean that muscat has been cultivated since the 10th century. Before 1948, only three wine-growers were producing a natural sweet wine by alcohol addition: they owned this precious right by anteriority (from their fathers, grand-fathers and forefathers). The other wine-growers did have some small parcels of muscat but they could only use them for their own consumption.
