Stunning Food in a Unique Lochside Setting.

Our Restaurant and Function Room with its massive picture window gives all diners unparalleled, breathtaking views across Loch Craignish. It is bright, friendly and unusually spacious, capable of seating 120 guests for events. See our weddings & functions page.

With a menu to rival any restaurant in Oban, the Galley of Lorne offers delicious and stylish dining. Enjoy pre or post dinner or dram of whisky drinks on our comfy sofas, alternatively stroll a few steps directly into the Lounge Bar in the company of our spectacular carved oak lions.

We like to use local ingredients that are in season including seafood and game. Take a look at our menus to 'whet your appetite'. However, please note that the main menu is available during the height of the season and that during autumn and winter it is necessary to reduce our menu according to demand and availability.

In addition to our superb menu, we also have menus for children's meals and our own homemade desserts and coffee menu. Furthermore, there are always a selection of 'specials' to give you even more choice.

Low Season Restaurant Policy
Please be advised that between 1st November and the point at which clocks are changed forward for British Summertime (normally towards the end of March), our restaurant operates in the lounge bar.

We understand that guests enjoy the restaurant because of the views, however in the winter and early spring months, it is dark here from around 6PM so there are no views to be seen. The restaurant, being such a big room is also difficult to heat, so we have adopted this policy for winter dining.

If anyone wishes to dine in the restaurant they may do so by request in advance of arrival. It is always set up to demonstrate the unique qualities our restaurant has to offer for the summer period and we find that many of our residents and diners alike in the low season wish to return in the spring and summer to enjoy our restaurant experience together with its views.

The restaurant will however be utilised from time to time for specific events such as our Hogmanay dinner and dance, weddings etc. where the suite can be used to its full potential.
